Homeboy Industries is proud to have been awarded a two-year grant from the Jewish Community Foundation of Los Angeles. In 2018, The Foundation’s General Community Grants were awarded to programs that provide paths out of poverty through social enterprise. Homeboy Industries provides hands-on job training for hundreds of formerly gang-involved and previously incarcerated individuals each year in our social enterprise businesses, including Homegirl Café & Catering and Homeboy Electronic Recycling, in combination with comprehensive wrap-around services that help individuals heal from trauma. With support from the Jewish Community Foundation of Los Angeles, we will continue working to break intergenerational cycles of poverty.
