I just opened the door of the vending machine. Why is there a $15 charge pending on my card?
When you use your card at the machine, our system runs a preauthorization on your card before unlocking the door. This helps ensure every transaction is secure and prevent theft. You might see this as a temporary ‘pending’ charge on your bank statement; it’s just a hold for now, not an actual charge.
The actual amount charged will show once the transaction is processed, which usually corrects by the end of the day. If you have any discrepancies after the transaction is processed, please fill out the form on our website or send us an email at vending@homeboyindustries.org with the details and we would be happy tp assist you.
How can I ensure the freshness of my food?
We refresh the machine with fresh food and beverages at least twice per week. Check the “best by” sticker on the item that interests you to be certain that your desired food or drink item is fresh.
Is there any way I can get one of these machines at my workplace or apartment building?
