All accomplished through a system of assessment, advocacy, and accompaniment. Petitions for dismissal or expungements are also provided as a key service that can reduce serious barriers to employment.

In partnership with local volunteer attorneys, the Legal Services team offers consultation clinics (by appointment only) to members of the community seeking consultation on immigration issues, DCFS concerns, expungements, and family law.

For more information or to make an appointment for an upcoming clinic, call us at (323) 526-1254, ext. 325 or email legalservices@homeboyindustries.org

Our office offers internship opportunities for high school, undergraduate, graduate, and law school students during the Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters.

Interns may have the opportunity to observe court proceedings, assist with legal research, prepare case materials, participate in client intake, and gain exposure to the day-to-day practice of law, consistent with their education level and applicable ethical rules.

We welcome applicants interested in law, public service, government, criminal justice, political science, social work, and related fields.
