Homeboy Harvest partners with L.A. Care

We are excited to announce that L.A. Care is partnering with Homeboy Harvest! We have received a grant from L.A. Care to support the Homeboy Harvest program, a Homeboy Industries social enterprise that is simultaneously providing fresh, culturally specific produce to marginalized communities in East Los Angeles while also providing quality job training opportunities in urban agriculture. Healthy, fresh produce (specifically leafy greens and herbs) will be distributed through our culinary focused social enterprises and to local retailers in under resourced communities. Additionally, Homeboy Harvest will provide quality paid job training opportunities in urban agriculture to at least 18 individuals returning to the community from incarceration by utilizing a curriculum from a community partner, Feed Our Soul.
