A huge THANK YOU to everyone who supported Homeboy Industries at the 11th Annual Homeboy 5K Run/Walk on September 21, 2019! Thousands of runners, walkers, donors, volunteers, and friends of Homeboy Industries enjoyed a morning filled with fun, music and laughter in downtown Los Angeles—all in the name of supporting our mission to provide hope, training and support to formerly gang-involved and previously incarcerated men and women.
It was our biggest 5K yet, with Homeboy Industries Board Member, Jane Fonda, joining us as the Official Race Ambassador for the Homeboy 5K Run/Walk! Jane and her longtime friend and actress, Lily Tomlin, led the crowd in a fabulous warmup before running/walking in kinship with Father Greg, the brave men and women of Homeboy Industries, and over 3,300 others in Downtown Los Angeles.
We’ll see you for the 12th Annual Homeboy 5K Run/Walk on September 19, 2020!
HOW TO GET INVOLVED:
Runners and walkers of all ages who register for the Homeboy 5K Run / Walk will receive a t-shirt, chip timing, a commemorative souvenir, and access to all post-race festivities outside our headquarters!
You can also create a team with your family, friends, neighbors, and co-workers!
We appreciate our Homeboy 5K Run/Walk volunteers! Individuals and groups of all sizes are welcome to sign up for various time slots and roles for the duration of the event.
You can impact the lives of thousands of Angelenos by becoming a partner with the Homeboy 5K Run/Walk. With your support, we will continue standing with the most vulnerable among us so that everyone who wants a second chance at life has the vital resources they need.
Can’t join us at the start line this year? You can still join the movement by donating to our fundraising goal or by registering as a virtual runner! Virtual runners receive a t-shirt, official race bib, and finisher medal via mail.
