Meet Michael Jenkins

Michael Jenkins, a Trainee at Homeboy Industries, has been experiencing beautiful transformations since coming to Homeboy Industries recently.

Since arriving, he was chosen to be a part of the newly-launched Homeboy Fire Crew. Recently he returned to us after spending 3 days of rigorous wild land training in the San Diego mountains with our generous partners, the La Jolla Reservation Fire Department. “Being on the Fire Crew is my inspiration to motivate other people and kids who are going through what I've been through. I think some people wait till it’s too late to change. I’m so thankful Homeboy saw something in me that I didn’t see in myself when I got here. I didn’t believe that a place like this existed.”
